Mr. E occasionally dabbles with home brewing. His aim is to recreate something similar to an ancient Scandinavian beer he came across in his dissertation research. The remnants of this beer were found inside a bronze kettle in an aristocratic woman’s grave in Jyllinge, Denmark. The beer contained barley, cranberry, lingonberry, and wild rosemary. These storage bottles from IKEA should help him experiment.
I’m brewing thoughts for curtains and sheers. The south wall in our living room gets a full blast from the sun.
I want to have a protective layer to keep out the worst heat and help slow down fading. We have white drapes for the west and north walls, where we might want to have more privacy. However, I want to keep the south wall free of visible, heavy curtain hardware.
