Master at Grilling

Every year, the Chicago Athenaeum : Museum of Architecture and Design awards a highly respected international prize in new product design and graphics. One of the winners in 2009 is the Mestari flame grill (Finnish only, sorry) by Kari Saaren-Seppälä and his team.
I appreciate the materials (birch and stainless steel), its light weight (1.5 kgs / around 3 lbs), and the versatile design (the grill freely rotates and moves vertically on the upright). Otherwise it looks a little too modern for me. Yet, if we were to build a fire pit in the back yard, this might be the perfect solution for a light, portable, durable, easy-to-use-and-maintain grill…
(In case you’re wondering, mestari means master.)
