Hutch Harmony

I rearranged our hutch.

Before:

Hutch July Before

After:

Hutch July After

I only took one item away, and added a set of brownware bowls. Despite the additions, the hutch looks more balanced now. The gurgling cod pitcher is still visually very heavy, though. I might have to move it to the bottom right. There are equally heavy blue bowls on the bottom left shelf (not present in the After picture) to balance it. (And the red hand towels stick out like a sore thumb, grumble grumble. Ohwell. Not like I’m trying to win a design award.)

The gurgling cod is a bit of a family tradition. We got it as a wedding present from Mr. E’s uncle, who received one at his wedding. I like the whackiness of it. Their exclusive source is a store called Shreve, Crump & Low. What a fun story!
