Special Dinner: August 2011

Once a month, Mr. E cooks something a little fancier than our regular fare, and I set the table.
This month, we had a fresh vegetable salad, corn, barbecue marinated pork, and a blueberry crumble with vanilla ice cream. All the ingredients come from local farms. (Except the ice cream.)
Summer and brightly colored fabric served as inspiration for the table setting.
I included a little whimsy with the cod pitcher and the rabbit napkin rings.
Summer is very important for Finns. I made this table setting to reflect the joy that summer brings.
