Kinda Want Now

I spotted this nesting set of handmade stoneware via design*sponge just this morning:

Nested Baker Set

Ceramicist Judy Jackson / Anthropologie.

They remind me greatly of the ceramics that Mr. E’s grandmother made. I don’t seem to have any photos of the chunky blue-green dishware that is so similar to this commercial set, but below is a picture of two bowls she made (shown in a previous post here).

The Anthropologie dishes also bring to mind bowls we’ve bought from an artist local to North-Eastern Massachusetts, Irina Okula. We have a large oven dish and several small bowls (just part of which are shown) by Irina:

Although I kinda wanted the Anthropologie dishes earlier, I’m starting to rethink. Averaging $14 / bowl (plus shipping & handling) they’re not cheap. Plus, we have all the dishes we need. I think I’ll just admire them from afar.

Happy weekend!
