Tumblr Treasures: Scientific Illustration

As the name implies, it pulls together scientific drawings (some very old, some newer) from other sources. I was struck by how many of the illustrations would make great wall art.
Protea nerufolia by Zoë Carter, via Scientific Illustration.
Australian Tangerine Mushrooms by Katrina Syme, via Scientific Illustration.
Larks(?) from Novitates Zoologicae 1911, via Scientific Illustration.
Cetaceans of Quebec by Daniel Grenier, via Scientific Illustration.
The major drawback is that the blog is way too frequently updated for my schedule. (As a scientific illustration blog, there’s also some icky internal organ images that I don’t care for. Not built for medical science, I’m not!) It is a fantastic source, though, so I keep going back.
